November 2008 Italienisch sprechende Schweiz<o:p /></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Zum zweiten aufeinanderfolgenden Mal organisiert “Kirche in Not” den „Nationalen Gedenk- und Gebetstag für die diskriminierten und verfolgten Christen“. Mit dieser Initiative will die Organisation des Speckpaters, die sich seit sechzig Jahren für die diskriminierten und verfolgten Christen einsetzt, jene Menschen ins öffentliche Licht rücken, welche täglich in verschiedenen Ländern der Welt für ihr Christsein einen zum Teil sehr hohen Preis bezahlen müssen. Die Thematik dieses Tages hat durch Ereignisse der vergangenen Wochen und Monate auf dramatische Weise an Aktualität gewonnen, wie fast täglich der Tagespresse zu entnehmen war: In Orissa sind Christen Opfer von Übergriffen und Verfolgung; im Irak werden die Christen zur Auswanderung gedrängt.<o:p /></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">In jeder Sprachregion der Schweiz wird dieser „Nationale Gedenk- und Gebetstag für die diskriminierten und verfolgten Christen“ mit einem besonderen Gottesdienst, dem jeweils ein Bischof vorsteht, begangen. Für die Westschweiz wurde <b>Msgr. Théophile Georges</b> Kassab, Erzbischof von Homs, Hama und Nabk (Syrien) nach Yverdon eingeladen. In der Deutschschweiz feiert <b>Bischof Vitus Huonder</b> am 25. Oktober 2008 um 17.30 Uhr den Gottesdienst in der Liebfrauenkirche in Zürich. Für die Italienisch sprechende Schweiz feiert <b>Bischof Pier Giacomo Grampa</b> den Gottesdienst in der Kathedrale von Lugano.<o:p /></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Zu diesem Gedenktag wurde eine Kerze angefertigt, auf welcher stellvertretend die Namen jener stehen, die im vergangenen Jahr (zwischen Juni 2007 und Juni 2008) unter ganz unterschiedlichen Umständen und an verschiedenen Orten wegen ihres Glaubens umgekommen sind. Si tratta di un’iniziativa con la quale l’organizzazione di Padre Lardo, da sessant’anni impegnata a favore dei cristiani discriminati e perseguitati, vuole attirare l’attenzione dell’opinione pubblica su quanti, nei diversi Paesi del mondo, quotidianamente pagano ad un prezzo spesso altissimo, il loro essere cristiani. Il tema della giornata, quest’anno conosce una drammatica attualità: quotidiane sono infatti<span>  </span>le notizie delle sistematiche persecuzioni di cui sono fatti oggetti i cristiani dell’Orissa in India e dell’emigrazione forzata a cui vengono spinti i cristiani in Irak.<o:p /></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="IT" style="font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="IT-CH" style="font-family: Arial;">Nella <span> </span>Svizzera romanda è stato invitato a Yverdon mons. Théophile Georges Kassab, arci-vescovo di Homs, Hama e Nabk, in Siria. A Zurigo sarà ospite per <st1:personname w:st="on" productid="la Svizzera Tedesca">la Svizzera Tedesca</st1:personname>, Mons. Vitus Huonder, mentre per la Svizzera italiana sarà Mons.
